is not far (this will help save on gas budget)

And when you visit Birmingham be on the lookout for this castle.
Here are the top 5 FREE things to do in Birmingham.
What are you looking for?
Historical sites? The Civil Rights District is where you want to be. There’s even a free audio tour from your cell phone.
Local scenery and the outdoors? Try the Birmingham Botanical Gardens or Red Mountain Park.
Locals only hot spots? This green space is known as “Birmingham’s living room”…where the locals hang.
Culture and art? Try the small but impactful Birmingham Museum of Art.
Where to snack:
Alabama Peanut Co.
Deep in Peanut District of Birmingham, you can find a cobble-stoned street and an old shop on Morris Ave that sells all kinds of peanuts (boiled, roasted, flavored). It’s an iconic venue to see and a must-stop when you’re in town.
If you fall in love with their peanuts as most folks do, you can even have them shipped to your house!
